Bite is the publication of Brighton’s Best, a locally based company that organises the annual Top 20 Restaurants awards (a list of the 20 best restaurants in Brighton based on the votes of over 150 dining experts that includes locally based chefs, restaurateurs, journalists, bloggers and broadcasters and local business movers and shakers) and the annual OctoberBEST restaurant festival that features the Top 20 restaurants. Bite will reach a potential audience of over 150,000 twitter followers through the combined weight of the top 20 restaurants, the founders of Brighton’s Best and Chef Publishing.
Published quarterly with a print run of 10,000 copies, the 16-page, stylishly designed publication is printed on 150gsm matt stock and in an e-edition via issuu.com (the online newsstand that receives over 100 million unique visitors per month). It celebrates the cream of Brighton’s dynamic dining scene, the places that have helped make the city one of the most important eating and drinking destinations in the country and includes interviews, profiles, features and recipes, all centred around the Top 20 Restaurants. In addition, the newsletter covers the wider Brighton food scene including delis, wine shops, coffee shops and local producers and covers aspects of the national and international dining scene.
Bite is edited by Brighton’s Best founder Andy Lynes, a freelance food, drink and travel writer and author with well over a decade of experience writing for the national and international consumer and trade press and a Brighton resident for the last 20 years.
